South Fayetteville is the city's most-actively-reinventing quarter. Walker Park is the anchor: big fields, the Fayetteville Underground / skate park, summer softball leagues. The surrounding residential blocks have attracted the new wave: breweries (Ozark Beer, Fossil Cove), neighborhood restaurants, boutique shops, a legitimate food scene inside a formerly-overlooked part of town. Home prices still lag the Hill and Wilson Park; that gap is closing fast.
